What have we created?
With a little bit of banter and some cadjolling between one of our officials and a lady team driver [from a previous event]
It was decided to make Round 6 Odyssey Winch Challenge Championship, a special day!
It was deemed 'Ladies Charity Day' In aid of 2 cancer charities.
We had 6 crews with ladies in, one team lady driver and winch, four lady drivers and one lady winch person.
A just giving page was set up for donations prior to the event.
We arranged to have an auction and raffle on the day of the event.
After having a very well attended event, we are happy to announce [as of today 12/10/2017] we have raised a total of over £3000!!
The preferred charities are:- Breast Cancer Care & Look Good Feel Better LGFB

We had a great time last year and hope to repeat it again this year. You don't need to be Viking members to come along, just have a love of 4x4 and offroading.
See you all there.
If you require any further information on our events or even about the Viking 4x4 please get in touch with a committee member.
Viking 4x4 Club are an off road club based in Leicestershire which caters for all 4x4 vehicles from Bog Standard to Highly Modified.
In the past we have organised Trials and Green Lane runs but our main focus in more recent years has been Challenge Events.
We have run a very successful 6 round series since 2007. The series was formerly known as the LRS Challenge Series but is now Called the Odessey Battery Winch Challenge Series.
This series is known for its friendly atmosphere and helpful nature. Organisers are particularly keen to encourage newcomers to the challenge scene and is seen as very much focussed on Grass Roots competitors.
We also run the 2 day Valhalla Challenge which is still open to newcomers but is more suited to the more serious competitor. This event is for teams of 2 trucks.
For 2016, we are introducing a new 2 day event named ‘Ragnarok.’ This is for teams of 5 trucks and is aimed at the serious challenge competitor.
As a complete contrast, we run 3 Orienteering events, which are similar to challenge events but are far more relaxed and fun focussed. No winching is allowed on these, so competitors must find, then drive up to collect punches.
We hold regular club night meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at various watering holes.
